Synopsis
Magic exists as a science/engineering domain of humanity since its discovery in the 70s.
It obeys certain rules and there are still researches around it.
We follow, mainly, twin women who lost their mother when they were teens, as she transformed into a super magician to try apparently to save a space shuttle from explosion.

My take
I like Qntm's writing - it takes you deep in a complex story and it makes sense most of the way.
Magic as a science is an amazing beginning and maybe the book would have been better if it stayed that way.
